I was walking out of the parking garage this morning when a lady in a silver Hummer drove up near the ticket booth. She called to me: “Excuse me! Can you do me a favor?”

I thought, sure, maybe she’s going to ask me to siphon gas out of someone else’s car.

“Can you put my card in there please? I can’t reach.”

She still hadn’t fully pulled up to the booth at this point–she didn’t even try, really. So the moral of the story is: if you know you can’t reach the card reader from your window, don’t buy a Hummer.

You should have told her that you couldn’t reach it from where you were standing either…maybe she would have understood that if you had to move to get the card in the cardreader…maybe she would have to move too.
