Ishak
I'd like to learn more about my last name, which I inherited from my father, Waguih Ishak. It's correctly pronounced "Es-haq", but since it's such an uncommon last name, I don't worry about it too much, so I tell Americans to pronounce it like Isaac from the Bible. Through online searches, we've found the last name to be popular in Turkey, Singapore and Malaysia; for example, Yusof bin Ishak, the first president of Singapore, is the arguably the most popular Ishak online. Searching for Ishak on Wikipedia yields the Ishak Pasha Palace, an administrative complex in Turkey. My family is Egyptian, and our last name stems from the Arabic translation of Isaac, which means "he will laugh".
I'll be frank: the point of this post is to get me, Andrew Ishak, to the top of the "Ishak" search listings in Google, or the "Ishak" search listings on Yahoo. I'll take either one. Right now my brother, Eddie Ishak, comes in at around first or second on the "Ishak" search listings in Google. I, Andrew Ishak, will be up there at some point. We'll see what happens. For good measure: Ishak.
